Resilient Waters Project Updates

On July 23rd 2024, we hosted a webinar for our cross sector network to update on all our project activities.



Our partners share updates on projects including:


Restoration

A new fish-friendly floodgate was installed at Joe's Lake / Taylor Road in Nicomen Slough (see this video that Pacific Salmon Foundation put together for and with us). We'll share about other flood infrastructure restoration projects we are supporting or leading too, and what we're learning from them so far


Research

  • Results from fish and water quality assessments of 26 priority sites from 2021-2023 led by Pearson Ecological

  • Research comparing fish passage at three different types of flood gates on the Coquitlam River from 2021-2024 led by UBC Pacific Salmon Lab's Zack Sherker
